Barcelona Ready for Historic Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition over two years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Barcelona held a public practice at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
