Eulogies Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to share openly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has gone by that I can at last express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began spending more time together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the production, remarking that he doesn't recollect "any day without laughter".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a separate piece, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge ruled to bar the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive issued a security hold on the cases to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the probe.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the result of foul play, with a official listing listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

After the tragedy, public individuals offered different reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing controversial remarks that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the detractors recently. Talking on his program, Rogan labeled the remarks as "disappointing" and implied they revealed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an aide could have stepped in when the choice to speak on the tragedy was made.
