A Chance for Unity and an "Unlikely Coup"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the single 'Lullaby' represents a opportunity to show solidarity with Palestinians this festive season. He acknowledged the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“That would be amazing if that occurred, yes,” he commented. “I wouldn't be completely disheartened if it doesn’t, holiday tracks are a thing unto themselves.”

Powerful Theme of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the adaptation of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's powerful central theme.

“It has a deeply meaningful spot for countless listeners,” Barghouti shared. “It’s basically saying that I would prefer a dignified death than spend my life without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we seek to lead a dignified life that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Featured Artists

The single was laid down after a solidarity show held in late summer. Originally intended to be captured during the live event, the piece was omitted from the lengthy event due to scheduling overruns.

The diverse array of musicians contributing to Lullaby encompasses a group of well-known figures from the scene. All participated in the September show, which successfully generated a substantial amount for relief efforts.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was brought to life by a trio of talented individuals. The track blends a combination of the heritage language with new English lyrics.

The group managing the campaign have clarified that their objective is to generate maximum funds for a specific fund. These donations will be allocated to projects in Palestine through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“We haven't set a specific target,” a representative commented. “We’ll go for whatever we can get. Obviously, the more the merrier. All proceeds are directed out to the people of Gaza.”

The reality in the region was characterized as its profound destruction, with a overwhelming percentage of buildings reportedly levelled or seriously harmed.

“Against that backdrop, a handful of millions doesn’t make a massive dent. But I think the significant factor is primarily making this cause better known and proving that another narrative exists.”
